In the Covenant household we develop an awareness of the needs of other people in our community and our world. We reach out with our time, talent, and finances in many ways.
NOROC (New Opportunities for Romanian Orphan Children)
For several years a NOROC mission at Tulcea, Romania, has served Romanian orphans and young people transitioning from orphan institutions to their next stage in life. Covenant members have regularly traveled to Tulcea for two-week assistance visits. Covenant also provides regular financial support to NOROC. Covenant member Carol Schempp is currently serving as a mission co-worker at NOROC.


Family Promise
This is a ministry to homeless families, which gives them an opportunity to regroup and work toward financial sufficiency and permanent shelter. Four times yearly, we provide food and companionship for three days at Promise House. Covenant also provides regular financial support to Family Promise, which has had an impressive success rate in moving guests into their homes.

WTOS (West Texas Organizing Strategy)
WTOS is a community organizing coalition of several area congregations that trains people to identify issues facing them and their families and to take unified action. In addition to participation in trainings and actions, Covenant also provides regular financial support to WTOS.

Lubbock Impact
Lubbock Impact is a local ministry to people with immediate needs. It serves an all-comers hot meal every Wednesday to over 200 people, many of them children. It provides various opportunities to support them medically and spiritually, such as with a clothing room and free weekly health clinic staffed by medical personnel associated with the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. Covenant provides regular financial support to Lubbock Impact.

Presbyterian Children’s Homes and Services
PCHAS provides a range of services for children in need of housing, counseling, and other forms of attention. It has a 114-year record of Christ-centered support of families in need. Covenant provides regular financial support to PCHAS.

Presbyterian Theological Education Fund
The Theological Education Fund is the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)’s best hope of ensuring the church of Christ is prepared to serve long into the future. The fund is housed at the Presbyterian Foundation and is the sole source of denomination-wide funding for seminaries from the PC(USA). Covenant provides regular financial support to the Fund.

Presbyterian Pan American School
Presbyterian Pan American School is a Christian college preparatory school in Kingsville, TX, that educates and empowers young adults for leadership in the global community. Its mission is to prepare them for lives of Christian leadership. PPAS is an excellent educator of young people in the Valley, particularly Hispanics, with long ties to Covenant people and faithful reporting on what's happening. Covenant provides regular financial support to PPAS.

South Plains Food Bank
The South Plains Food Bank is engaged in securing, growing, processing, and distributing food to charitable organizations and persons in need. SPFB also strives to provide opportunities for persons to break out of the poverty cycle. Covenant provides regular financial support to SPFB.
