The Rev. Becky Fox

The Reverend Becky Fox serves as the pastor and head of staff of Covenant Presbyterian. She is a Minister of the Word and Sacrament in the Presbyterian Church (USA) and a minister member of the Palo Duro Presbytery. 

 

She earned her Master of Divinity at Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Austin, Texas, where she studied Greek, Hebrew, feminist womanist theology, and Karl Barth. Current professional interests include the Spirituality of Art and Nature.

 

A native Texan, she is married with two adult children and currently co-parents a goofy golden retriever. She enjoys yoga, knitting, and entertaining.

Melissa Palacios

Melissa grew up in Odessa, Texas. In 2015, she and her three boys moved to Lubbock, Texas. Melissa attended Texas Tech University and graduated with a Master’s in Business Administration.

 

Melissa enjoys traveling, being a soccer mom, and spending time with family and friends. Faith has always been an essential aspect of Melissa’s identity. She is thankful to God for leading her to this congregation. Melissa is committed to Covenant and is grateful to be a part of the community.

Brad Light

Brad Light joined Covenant Presbyterian as the music director in 2020. He conducts the choir and coordinates music for all services, including quarterly Taize and special events.

 

Brad is also an Associate Director of Choral Studies and Lecturer of Music at Texas Tech University, where he conducts the Matador Singers tenor/bass choir, Texas Tech Opera Theater and teaches courses in choral conducting, vocal pedagogy, and lyric diction.

 

Dr. Light earned his Doctor of Musical Arts in Choral Conducting from Texas Tech University, a Master of Music Education for the University of Mississippi, and a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Harding University

Brenda Ford

ORGANIST

Brenda has been playing piano since the age of 6 and has been a teacher for 50 years. She studied at Hardin Simmons University and Texas Tech University. She was formerly the organist at the First Methodist Church in Lubbock, TX where she still substitutes.

 

Brenda was on the committee at LISD which began Pre-Kindergarten classes, which continues to be a passion for her.

 

Brenda enjoys traveling, both domestically and internationally. During her free time, she can be found visiting shut-ins.

Anh Van Collins

ACCOMPANIST

Anh received her Bachelor of Arts in Music at University of Houston. Since moving to Lubbock in 2012, she has worked at Texas Tech School of Music as Senior Business Assistant for Orchestra, Choral, and Music Theatre Ensembles, the Lubbock Symphony Orchestra as Box Office Manager, and Lubbock Moonlight Musicals as Director of Operations.

 

Anh is currently a collaborative pianist at Lubbock Christian University and a freelance pianist for Lubbock ISD and Frenship ISD, and various musical theatre groups. She is also the Business Manager of The Lubbock Chorale. She and her husband, Devin Andrew Collins (jazz pianist), enjoy performing with talented musicians in the Lubbock community. Their 4 year old son, Elliott, loves playing with monster trucks and taking walks with the dogs, Duke and Ella.
